OUR PRODUCT

Why you're here

Most people who start this process are focussed on a need for more space, a desire to add value, and/ or to improve aesthetics.

Achieving these aims within the constraints imposed by UK legislation can be more complicated than you’d expect.

Fortunately, since not enough houses are being built in Britain, the Government is trying to make it easier for you to extend your home.

The ‘temporary’ Permitted Development laws were changed to make them permanent, so it is now possible to add a single storey rear extension or loft conversion without going through the Planning process. But there are limits and the rules are quite complicated.

Whether or not Planning Permission is needed, it will probably be necessary to ensure that the proposed works comply with the Building Regulations.

And then there are Structural Calculations, Party Wall Agreements, SAPs assessments, RADON…
